Seven Wonders Restaurant

Building a vibrant Caribbean brand system from the ground up.

Role

Branding & Visual Design

Timeline

Dec 2022 – Present

Platform

Print & Digital Marketing

Overview

Seven Wonders Restaurant & Grill is a Caribbean establishment known for authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.

The goal of this project was to develop a cohesive brand identity and marketing system that captured the restaurant’s vibrant cultural roots while remaining polished and modern enough to compete in a crowded dining market.

The Challenge

Many local restaurants rely on word-of-mouth but lack a unified visual identity. Seven Wonders needed a brand that:

  • Reflected Caribbean warmth and authenticity
  • Felt energetic but not chaotic
  • Could scale across menus, social media, and in-store signage
  • Maintained clarity and legibility in both print and digital formats

Strategy

Before designing visuals, I defined three of the restaurant’s core attributes. What makes Seven Wonders special is

  • Their dedication to fresh food. This meant brand should communicate boldness and richness.
  • A warm, casual, clean atmosphere. The space feels communal and approachable.
  • Their modern take on tradition. The design should reference Caribbean heritage without feeling cliché.

This strategic foundation guided every visual decision.

I created 2 “mood boards” for the brand as an excercise to see where my inspiration could take me with the constraints of the positioning mentioned above:

Visual Identity System

Color

The palette pulls from Caribbean landscapes — saturated greens, warm golds, and deep reds — but refined into a controlled system to avoid visual noise.

The goal is to feel bold but balanced and refined.

Typography

I paired a strong, confident display typeface with a clean sans-serif body font.

This creates:

  • Personality in headlines
  • Clarity in menus and pricing
  • Flexibility across print and digital

Logo & Mark

The logo was designed to feel grounded and recognizable at multiple scales — from storefront signage to Instagram avatars.

Rather than overcomplicating the mark, I prioritized legibility and memorability.

Marketing Applications

To ensure scalability, I created a suite of assets including:

  • Menu layouts
  • Social media graphics
  • Promotional flyers
  • Digital announcements
