DESIGN DETOURS
Off the clock graphic design projects I’ve done over the years for fun or for friends.
There’s just not enough podcasts out there. So my roommates and I had a quick podcast side quest that lasted about 2 months. The design is inspired by New York paraphernalia, with a bodega bag resting on a blanket surrounded by loose items that could be found in our everyday tote bags.
For my friend Carolane’s wedding last year. The wedding colors were jade and a dusty rose, that I did my best to accommodate without overdoing it.
This concept was for my motion graphics course at NYU. The assignment was to create a commercial for a product using graphics only. I’ll admit the app concept came out better than the commercial. But practice makes perfect!
My friend Sami is a comedian in the city. For her birthday, I built her a personal website and redesigned the logo of her blog.
This concept was for my Media Law class at NYU. In my final presentation I explored the difference between inspiration versus imitation as it relates to copyright law. Can you guess who I‘m inspired by or imitating here?
Another project for an NYU class, this time
Visual Design Studio. All of the cards in this deck
are designed by me in Illustrator. All 108 of them.
